Lunar Electromagnetic Influence

The Monthly Cycle in the Body's Water

"The word 'lunatic' preserves a medical observation that modern medicine abandoned without disproving."

The Dismissed Connection

Every pre-modern medical tradition tracked lunar phases as a clinical variable. Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Greek Hippocratic medicine, Islamic Unani, indigenous healing systems worldwide: all considered the moon’s cycle relevant to diagnosis, treatment timing, and prognosis. The word “lunatic” preserves a medical observation that modern medicine abandoned without disproving.

The standard dismissal: correlation with tides is gravitational, and the gravitational effect on a human body is negligible. The dismissal targets the wrong mechanism.

The EM Mechanism

The moon modulates Earth’s electromagnetic environment on a monthly cycle. The lunar surface reflects solar EM radiation with a specific spectral signature. The moon’s magnetotail (a weak but measurable electromagnetic wake) sweeps across Earth during specific orbital positions. Full moons produce measurably different electromagnetic conditions than new moons.

The body’s water, structured in exclusion zone lattices throughout every cell, responds to electromagnetic input. If the moon’s EM influence alters the ambient field on a monthly cycle, the cellular medium’s receptivity oscillates with it. Structured water zones expand or contract depending on the EM environment. The medium changes. What it can carry changes.

The Clinical Evidence

Emergency room admissions, psychiatric episodes, and seizure frequency show lunar correlations in multiple studies, though the effect sizes are small and the literature is contested. The small effect size is expected: the moon’s EM influence is a modulation on top of much stronger signals (solar, geomagnetic, artificial). In a clean EM environment, the lunar signal would be more pronounced. In a polluted one, it’s partially masked.

Menstrual cycles average 29.5 days, matching the lunar synodic period. The correlation has been documented cross-culturally. Whether the mechanism is electromagnetic, gravitational, or a legacy of evolutionary synchronization, the periodicity matches.

The Pre-Modern Protocols

Traditional medicine’s lunar protocols were specific. Surgery avoided during the full moon (increased bleeding). Herbs harvested at specific lunar phases (different EM environment altering plant chemistry). Fasting timed to the waning moon. Cleansing practices aligned with the new moon. Planting by the lunar calendar.

These protocols represent millennia of empirical observation by traditions that tracked the lunar cycle as a medical variable. Modern medicine’s abandonment of lunar timing is not based on disconfirming evidence. It is based on the assumption that the mechanism must be gravitational, followed by the correct observation that gravity is too weak, followed by the incorrect conclusion that therefore no mechanism exists.
